World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading.
On Wednesday, 1st March, we celebrated our Patron Saint’s Day. We wore handmade daffodils or leeks to assembly and learnt about the good work St. David did during his life time.
It was an extremely exciting start to the term when children returned after Christmas to find that the creation of new Sports Hall and Theatre complex (with Nursery extension) had finally begun!
This term we held our non-uniform day in support of ‘Save The Children’. Children wore their own clothes and sported an excellent range of Christmas jumpers. During assembly, we held an exciting Christmas Spelling competition.
The School Council had the difficult task of judging the school’s ‘Design a Christmas Card Competition’ this term. We were inundated with many excellent entries but eventually managed to choose a girl and boy winner from each class.
