Willy Wonka Workshop
A fun time was had by all on the recent ‘Willy Wonka’ Workshop just before the start of the Autumn Term.
Children were very keen to become the well known characters of the popular children’s book, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, including the famous Verruca Salt and Augustus Gloop. In an added twist, all the children cast were taller than their cast parents—a feature Roald Dahl would probably have approved of as all his books would have you believe that children are in charge!
The children played some excellent drama games, working on emotions, presentation and response. We still had time for painting and craft work as well as making programmes.
Some great acting skills were emerging and confidence developed in those new to the workshop, particularly the very cute Oompa Loompas, as well as exuding from the old regulars!
Be ready to join us for the next drama workshop—the first in our new ‘Mount Theatre’!
