Welcome Week
We were delighted to invite visitors and parents to join us during Open Week for tours of the school, Open Sport and Speech and Drama lessons and our Harvest Festival celebration. Indoor sports activities included gymnastics, badminton and circuit training. Speech and Drama lessons encompassed individual poetry recitals, duologue acting performances and group choral speaking from ‘Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats’ by T. S. Eliot. At our final assembly and Harvest Festival each Form contributed readings, drama, songs and prayers and our usual round of harvest hymns were enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone for bringing gifts for our harvest table, beautifully arranged by Mrs. Turner. All the gifts were collected by Save the Family, a local charity based in Chester and North Wales which helps families in difficulty stay together and get back on their feet. Our next open events will include Christmas Around the World, Valentine’s Assembly and World Book Day. Parents and friends are very welcome to attend.
