Up, Up and Away!
Jubilee Sports Day, held in glorious sunshine, provided a buoyant end to the first half of the Summer Term. In a spirit of friendly competition, all the children took part in track and field events including the special Jubilee obstacle race! The afternoon culminated in the Diamond Jubilee Balloon Race with over 300 red, white and blue balloons competing in a quest to travel the furthest for charity, in support of the Rotary Club. Form V performed a special Jubilee Maypole dance and following the medal presentation, all children were awarded a special commemorative bookmark to remember this very special day. The event was enjoyed by all, of course enhanced by the superb (and rather lucky) weather and encouraged many children to attend the half-term sports camp held a few days later.
