The Selfish Giant
This term, in our Cathedral Celebration, the children told the story of ‘The Selfish Giant’ through readings, songs, dance and drama.
In this story of love and sacrifice, a giant, who is very selfish, learns to share his garden. He comes to know that where love is, there is God also.
Readers, singers, actors, dancers and musicians all contributed greatly to a very successful occasion. Thank you to Mrs. Cotterill, Mrs. Williams and Miss Messham for all their hard work this term.
The poignant and final song, ‘Forever Friends’ reminded those leaving Form VII this year, that they are parting from many friends made here at Fairholme. We hope that they will cherish the memories of the years spent here together and hope they will remain ‘Forever Friends’.
