Sun Shines on Sports

A fantastic Sports Day was enjoyed by all, this year in glorious sunshine.  Racing included running, hurdles, egg and spoon, obstacle and relays as well as our new ‘Ready for School’ race in which our youngest pupils battled it out to get dressed in shoes, blazer and hat, do their homework and make it to the finish line!

Children were awarded points for each of the races and the high jump which contributed towards the Individual medals in each class. The older pupils’ points contributed to the House Challenge; this year Raleigh were the proud winning team.  Thanks to Mr. Rees for organising this event so well and thanks to Mrs. Sanders for the very welcome Pimm’s and scones with strawberries and cream — absolutely delicious!

Thanks to all who supported the Rotary Club in this year’s Balloon Race — always a beautiful sight — this year we raised over £300, an excellent effort and very much appreciated.
