Sports in the Sun
Almost too hot for sport, all the children braved the high temperatures to take part in a very enjoyable day. Track events took place on the grass, including sprinting, hurdling and obstacle courses, while field events, including high jump, javelin and relays took place on the all-weather surface. Parents took a turn as well in basketball and skipping races. Children were competing both for individual medals and the House Cup. After a very close day, Raleigh House were victorious, winning by just one point over the runners up, Stanley. The fabulous weather meant that ice-cream sales were up and the proceeds from ice-cream and scone sales amounted to £200 which was donated to the St. Asaph Community Project.
