Sports Day 2017

We were very excited to hold our Sports Day at Myddelton College this year.  Despite the fiercely windy weather, we embarked on the usual round of running, hurdles and obstacle races as well as house shuttle and netball relays.  The new stilts in the Obstacle Race provided some fun moments and the Tug of War for the fathers proved to be a popular new addition.  The balloons were sent off in the middle of proceedings due to the worsening weather conditions but we do hope some of them travel well in the high winds!

The Scottish Dancing Club performed while results were being collated and then the medal ceremony was held at the end of the day.  Thanks so much to Myddelton College for loaning us their beautiful grounds, to Miss Mayley for the delicious scones and cream, to Peter from the Rotary Club for organising the charity balloon race and to Alex, our new commentator for this very successful sporting event!
