Our Stars in 'Her Benny'

Forms V, VI and VII were very excited to go to see the musical, ‘Her Benny’ this week at The Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool, not least because the show was starring our very own Mia and Zara!  

Set in the Liverpool docks, the show opened with a rousing performance of the sights and sounds of Victorian Liverpool.  The story told of two street children, Nell (Mia) and her brother, Benny, who earned a living selling matches and carrying bags.

Many tissues were needed when Nell died at the end of Act One and then returned as an angel just after the interval.

Benny, meanwhile had a lucky encounter with Eva (Zara), who helped get him a job as office-boy to her father, a rich Liverpool businessman. Further tissues were required when Benny was wrongly accused of stealing a five-pound note!

Congratulations to Mia and Zara for some stunning performances, much enjoyed by all.
