Dont Forget the Meerkats
Forms I, II and III had an enjoyable day out at the Welsh Mountain Zoo. On a glorious summer's day the children had a great time viewing the animals and attending sessions at the Education Centre where they were able to see some small animals at close quarters, stroke a guinea pig, hold a stick insect and touch a snake skin (without the snake!). Despite the clamours of the excited children, one of our groups had difficulty finding the meerkats. After some guidance from the keepers, however, they were finally able to locate the mischievous mammals! The other group managed to find time for some exercise in the adventure playground, with use of the equipment ably demonstrated by the teachers. Mr Perkins was caught napping at lunchtime but was excused as it was his birthday!
