Chirk Castle
This term Form VII participated in a World War II workshop at Chirk Castle which allowed the children to explore a variety of aspects of life during the war through a whole host of activities. These included taking part in a mock fire drill, imagining that they were an evacuee, preparing food using items that would have been available during rationing and singing and playing games that were popular at that time. At the end of the sessions we were fortunate enough to be able to roam around the other castle rooms where the children marvelled at an impressive display of weaponry from around the world. They returned to school having had a most stimulating and informative day.
