On Wednesday, 1st March, we celebrated our Patron Saint’s Day. We wore handmade daffodils or leeks to assembly and learnt about the good work St. David did during his life time. We sang some patriotic hymns and members of our Welsh club sang a collection of songs, in Welsh, for us.
Later on in the day, Forms VI and VII visited Llys Elian Care Home in Colwyn Bay where the children helped residents and families celebrate St. David’s day with a range of musical entertainment, songs both Welsh and English, harp and piano solos from Leah and Zara and, of course, some favourites from our ‘Oliver!’ show. A very worthwhile and rewarding day.
